Once the grains have been harvested, they are mashed and fermented at Crop’s distilling facility in Minnesota. Then, the wash the liquid that remains following fermentation is distilled as many times as necessary in order to remove any impurities or unwanted flavors. That is, the vodka is distilled to taste rather than a specific number of times (the distillation process is so efficient that no carbon treatment or charcoal filtering is required).Following distillation, the vodka is macerated in a secret recipe of herbs and spices, including fresh pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. As a result, it has notes of brown sugar and caramelized fruit that are complemented by notes of molasses, cloves and cinnamon.
