Description
Lejana Y Sola is a traditional Mezcal, crafted with artisanal methods. No electricity is used, as the Espadin and rare Cuishe agaves are roasted in a stone-lined fire pit and crushed using a horse-drawn tahona mill. The fermentation takes place in wooden tanks before the liquid is double distilled in a copper alembic still. The small palenque where the Mezcal is produced lies in a mountainous area two hours from Oaxaca, called Lachil. This Mezcal marks the first time that the family has exported their spirit to the US. Lejana Y Sola is an ensemble Mezcal, meaning that it is a blend of 2 agaves: the espadin and cuishe. The latter is known for its complex aromas and flavors that contribute to the milder espadin, resulting in a unique spirit. Bottled at 84 proof, the smooth Mezcal has gentle smoke and sweet agave notes with spice, earth, and musk. Grab a bottle of this artisanal mezcal today!
