The Loyal Nine were a group of Boston patriots who stood up against the unpopular Stamp Act of 1765 which imposed a tax on British colonies. Later, they played a major role in the Sons of Liberty, the organization that fought for colonists’ rights. Founded in 2011 and based in Rhode Island, the Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co. takes its inspiration from these historic political movements. In the vein of the rebellious spirit that inspired both the company and the brand, their goal was to rebel against fake ingredients.
