Producing handcrafted, single distilled traditional Japanese shochu, their Mizu Shochu is more concentrated than the average modern schochu. Bottled at 70 proof, this higher concentration pays homage to old styles of shochu and brings out the spirit’s subtle complexities. On the east of Arita, there are beautiful lemongrass fields that have become a source of local pride. Inspired by this pristine nature, this Mizu Lemongrass Shochu is handcrafted and single distilled from a mash of local rice, freshly harvested organic lemongrass and the pure waters of Black Hair Mountain. Master Distillers Shinji Wasa and Hirofumi Okoba decided to put an innovative twist on traditional shochu and introduce lemongrass for the very first time for an even silkier spirit.
