Prunier XO Trs Vieille Grande Champagne Cognac is made exclusively from grapes harvested from the Grande Champagne cru of Cognac. The Grande Champagne cru the most highly sought after and desirable cru in the Cognac region is known for its chalky soils, which result in higher-quality grapes and finer cognacs as compared to other crus. Once the grapes have been harvested, they are pressed and fermented before being twice distilled through a traditional copper still.Following distillation, Prunier XO Cognac is matured for a minimum of 20 years, although the average age of the cognac is 45 years (a portion of the cognac is up to 50 years old). As a result of this incredibly long maturation process, the cognac has a bold and robust flavor profile, with aromas of citrus and vanilla giving way to notes of candied oranges, honeyed oak and caramel on the palate.
