Launched in 2006, Smokehead Islay single malt was released by independent bottled Ian Macleod Distillers. While the NAS whisky comes from an undisclosed distillery, it’s full of the peat smoke character that Islay is famous for. Smokehead Rum Cask Rebel takes that same whiskey for a round of finishing in Caribbean rum casks, resulting in the familiar peaty character getting a boost of citrus and tropical fruit notes.
