Established in Montana in 2010, Willie’s Distillery has a simple goal: capturing the spirit of the American West, while supporting the local economy and residents in the process. Founded by Willie and Robin Blazer, the distillery is built around a bespoke copper pot still made by Holstein, a family-owned company that has been building world-class spirits stills since 1958. They mill, mash, ferment, and distill corn, barley, and oats on site. There, they craft various whiskeys, moonshine, vodka, and liqueurs such as Willie’s Huckleberry Sweet Cream Liqueur. Huckleberries aren’t just a favorite snack of Montana’s state animal, the grizzly bear, they’re a delicious ingredient for a liqueur as well.
