Description

Shabo VSOP Cognac is a celebration of the ancient culture of winemaking in Ukraine. It’s made from Aligote, Rkatsiteli, and other white grape varieties, blending top-quality Eaux-de-vie aged from five to ten years. Its rich amber color introduces us to the opulent floral bouquet that translates beautifully into fruits, chocolate, and vanilla flavors. It’s best if you experience it neat and pair it with chocolate, hard cheese, or desserts.Shabo is one of the oldest wine terroirs in Europe, located by the Black Sea, close to the picturesque town of Odesa. The Greeks were the first ones to plant vineyards there more than two millennia ago, while cultural winemaking is attributed to Swiss immigrants that came to Shabo from the Canton of Vaud and called this area heaven on Earth. With them, they brought European standards of making wine – a tradition that’s etched in the DNA of Shabo products. During the Soviet era, the company specialized in wine. When they revived it in 2003, the ancient traditions became the foundation of the state-of-the-art complex engaged in growing grapes, processing, and production. Today, they’re winning awards left and right, and it was a no-brainer to start producing premium cognacs as well.
